A buddy of mine bought a new C7 with standard 18" and 19". He ordered 19" and 20" Forgelines/Michelins for it and now wants to sell the original 18" andf 19" tires. They have 700 easy miles on them - he is not a racer. I'm posting as he is not internet savvy.

I would think you would need to shim them out, I used 09, 18/19 on my old Z I had to shim out the rears to get body clearance and remove the air ducts another 1/4 and I could have left the ducts in place.

I didn't feel comfortable shimming them out that further than the 1/4", even at a 1/4 you loose your hub centric fit.

Bigger diameter wheels make a z06 look better, the 17/18 look small on a c5
