Need the latch piece from the locking mechanism portion of my glove box. I don't know if that means replacing the whole lock mechanism and if so does that mean i will have a different key for the glove box... ughhhh

I had the same issue.. I bought one on ebay (gm1parts) for $49.00 includes shipping, 2 small bolts hold it in place, and remove.. To extract the key cylinder, insert the key and turn 90 degrees until you see a little metal push bar, push that in, turn the key another 90 degrees and whalla, the cylinder is in your hand, then reinsert to the new latch... $49.00 fix and here in 2 days... different seller but is this the part i need (other than the fact the one pictured is for a C6)? i have tan interior so i think have to find a tan one, thanks a lot for your help!!!!
