Drivers door controls panel sometimes does not work. I cleaned the contacts on the connectors in the door jam area, and that worked for a month or so, but now it is intermittent. I can slightly push rubber accordion cover in door jam and it will work, close door and doesnt work again.

I am thinking of just adding extensions to all the wires and removing the connectors. It would give the wires more length so wouldn't pull when door is open/closed, and no connectors to get corroded etc.

Thoughts?

I'm sure this will get moved to the correct section, but let me give you some advice.

There's 2 connectors in the door jam, one is for the speaker & other is door & window.

The connector with the bare wire is the speaker connector, you really don't need to mess with that one.

Is the driver side the only problem & just the lock?

Oh ok, I cleaned both previously. Thought I was in the Tech Section....
No, the whole panel does not work. When I just slightly press on rubber between door, it works, so I think just a lose connection.
