Best Headers for a C5 Z06
Hi folks. I'm looking for your opinions. I'm looking for a good set of long tube headers & X-pipe for my 2003 Z06. By "good" I mean which manufacturer seems to produce a product that has no fitment problems, is easy to install, has plenty of clearance - doesn't rub up against the steering shaft or A/C lines and has plenty of clearance for the O2 sensors - and provides good performance. Does such an animal exist?????? Thanks much!

My dynatec supermaxx headers fit that description.
Slid right in, and really lit that car up!

The worst 2 weekends of my life were (in this order):
1. Installing my Kooks Headers with a friend
2. Removing my Kooks Headers with no help
They sound great and don't rub or touch anything ONCE YOU GET THEM IN. Getting them in may be one of the more difficult things you will ever do. I did a clutch job on my C5 (on jackstands), and though it was hard, it was not nearly as frustrating as working with these headers.
I now have LG super-pros and they were a breeze to install and fit nicely.

I recently purchased the LG Super Pros along with their x-pipe, and must say I am very satisfied with the purchase. The headers fit nice, and do not rub on anything, and were a breeze to install. Maybe 2 hours or so to install headers and another 1.5-2 hours for the xpipe and tunnel brace. As far as performance, the car went 12.7 at 111 with the stock manifolds, went to the track last night and went 12.4 at 116, with no tune as well. Hope this helps

I guess I picked this section because I planned on purchasing a set of headers with forum member's opinions in mind. Perhaps the General Section is the better place. Oh well.....I ended up purchasing a set of Kooks headers with their X-pipe. Thanks to everybody for your input!
