Good luck! I can't believe how much changing gears in these cars cost. I am lucky to have 3.42's already. Using 6th gear is a joke unless I'm going above 80. I'd rather have 4.10's and have an actual use for 6th gear without worrying about getting caught.

Thanks for all the PMs on the rear I'll have to install the new one and check it out ,make sure it works Etc. how soon do u need it?
I will be selling mine its brand new GM unit 3.42 w maybe 500 miles and aftermarket output shaft looks brands new new dirt or grease..lol..upgrading to zr1 dif soon

Still wateing on mine the weather got bad so a little delay in getting it . I am thinking about puting my old one up for later haveing a good one in the bank sounds like the way to go can build it like I want to for later.... Looks like a front wheel drive deal to me just in the back ??? Everbody have a good one....

Lot's of them are busted and some like mine are going under the bed for use down the road ..If you think hard to find now wate a year ...I know lot's corvette oweners but big HP in motor and nothing in rear and BAM I think that's were where at busted or being saved ... GM stoped makeing them last year all thats left is what is out there so maybe somebody wil start makeing cases anyway....I am keeping my old one myself...

WELL THE REAR CAME TODAY , SAID 3-RIB HAS 1-RIB - NOT VERY CLEAN BUT HAD BEEN SITTING FOR 3 YEARS ?? IT HAS A 373 IN IT CAN SEE IN MARKED ON GEAR BEEN USED SEAMS TIGHT ECT. HAD NOT BEEN LEAKEING ANYWERE ..THE ONE RIB SHOULD HANDLE 400HP PUT SEALS IN INSTALL SEE WHAT IT WILL DO ,KEEP FOR LATER ON RESELL ?? THE ONLY WAY CAN BE A DEAL IS PUT IN AND IT WORKS ???? IT'S A GM 12554837 AUTO DEAL BUT 373 .LOT'S WORK IF DON'T WORK ..HE SAID HE GAVE $600.00 for it ,I GUESS HE CHECKED IT OUT FIRST ... I DON'T KNOW ,I THINK IT WOULD BE OK...THEN HAVE MINE BUILD THIS WINTER ...??? IF IT WASEN'T SO MUCH WORK TO TAKE OUT AND REPLACE I WOULD JUST DO BUT JUST DO IT...
