FOR SALE: Iron Block 427
Up for sale is my 427 shortblock out of my 02 Camaro SS. Motor was originally built by HKE a few years back and then pulled out and freshened up last year by Speed Inc. About 1500 miles on it since the rebuild from Speed. Only selling to finish my new project, otherwise I would be keeping it.
427ci Iron Block built for Nitrous - Never sprayed or had a bottle hooked up
11:5:1 compression
Eagle 4340 4.100 crankshaft
Eagle H-Beam Rods 6.200 long #CRS6200O3D
Diamond Custom Pistons 4.065 Bore
Hell Fire rings
ARP everything
This is just the shortblock for sale. Motor is healthy and runs strong. Originally the car had a custom spec HKE cam and made 550+ rwhp with the trickflow 235s NA. Previous owner had a much more mild cam installed after Speed Inc freshened up the motor. Currently makes a modest 450rwhp. I still have the larger cam and can throw it in the deal if the buyer is interested and we can work something out.
Motor is still in the car and will be pulled once I have a buyer or the last week in April whichever comes first. I am in Chicago, anyone interested can come by take a look, hear it run and go for a drive for piece of mind.
Asking $3750 OBO. Really want to get my other project done so I am motivated. Have a short clip of it running below. Make reasonable offers and let's get this bad *** motor sold.
