C5 OEM clutches are not twin disc. Please post pics so we can see what kind of clutch it is. Thanks.

tstrobl1,

If you're right, I'm embarrased. I could've sworn I saw twin discs. I'll take a photo tonight and post it, along with the GM P/N. Thanks

This is a single disc factory clutch. My apologies for any confusion, and thank you for bringing this to my attention. I blame it on my poorly lit basement. I've corrected the ad text, and added a link to photos. Let me know if there are any issues. Thank you

Please see the ad for a link to photos, as well as p/n on the box. Let me know if you have any troubles viewing them.

Can't really find any info on those part #s. So, this is the replacement for a stock LS1 with stock LS1 flywheel?
Thanks

78GEN3; ET AL,

I called my local Chevrolet dealership parts dept. to re-confirm the application for this clutch, and I'm told that I had been misinformed. This is actually a clutch for a C6 Corvette / Camaro SS. The p/n's listed on the box have been superceded a number of times, which explains why you may have had a hard time finding info on it.
My next question was what differences exist between a C6 and C5 clutch, but unfortunately, he was unable to answer this.
My sincerest apologies for wasting everyone's time here. I'll be deleting this add soon, and hopping on over to the C6 Forum.

Best Regards,

-Ben

It may work for the C5, since you can install LS7 clutches and what not.
My only concern would be which flywheel is required to go with it.
