Default WTB - TPE oil sender relocation kit

As title states, looking for a 2nd gen oil sender relocation kit made by TPE. It must be the 2nd design with the adapter block that bolts to the oil pan above the oil filter.

Default Me too!

Sorry to give you false hope by replying to your thread, but I have been feverishly looking for the same thing.

I've done all kinds of internet searches to no avail looking for a kit for sale on different forums, ebay, craigslist, etc.

From what I understand, the owner of TPE had health problems and closed shop. I'll bet they still had some kits on hand when they closed. Maybe someone in Las Vegas can try to go by their shop and see if there are any notices posted on how to get ahold of them.

None of the old email addresses or phone numbers seem to work anymore.

Good luck...
Steve

Yeah, at this point I'm just hoping for maybe something from a takeoff or blown engine being sold for parts or something similar.
I may just look into either modifying a Lingenfelter unit or, using it unmodified, with a Buick OPS that already has 1/4" NPT threads.

Plugging the hole where the old OPS went should be easy enough using a GM oil galley plug 11588949.

The TPE piece would make things a little easier.

Maybe you can have this modified, it's already tapped for the temp sender, plus has 2 other 1/8" pipe taps, probably like the Lingenfelter one:

The other nice thing about the TPE kit was the harness extension, so I didn't have to splice my harness. I was just going to leave my old OP Sender in place.

I've seen that one but I'm not sure there's enough real estate to modify/change the NPT hole to a larger size. Btw, I mispoke earlier, the Buick OPS is apparently 1/4" NPT, not 1/8".
When dealing with NPT sizes, an increase in size from 1/8" NPT to 1/4" doesn't sound like much, but the actual difference in physical size is much larger than most would suspect.

Harness splice is simple enough but leaving the old sender is asking for leaks, if there's not one already. The GM oil galley plug has the correct thread size and a sealing washer.

Btw, this image from another forum member shows an OE engine block oil galley plug being used to block off the original OPS location after a relocate.

I have a latest design TPE oil sender relocation kit that I am removing from my car to install an oil cooler. I'll sell for $85 shipped.

I can't ship for a week though because I have to go out of town for work. If you want it let me know and we can work out the details when I return.
