Every Tech needs this LS Timing cover Alignment Tool!
AlignIt Tools are used to align the Rear Main and Timing Covers and install the seals!
Whether your a Pro or a Do Your Own Repair kind of guy, here is a simple but very effective tool to help you make
easy work of installing your LS1-2-3-6-7-9- LQ4-LQ9- 5.3-6.0 and all GM v8's from 1997-2013 Timing and Rear Main cover and seals. Works with all LS based engines!
Here is a couple simple but very effective tools to help you make easy work of aligning your Timing and Rear Main Covers. CNC Machined to exact tolerances, the AlignIt tools
get the covers centered perfectly with the crank. The O-ring design makes for a perfect snug fit no matter the temperature that can cause expansion/contraction of engine covers, crank & tools
that will hinder a perfect fit. The O ring design eliminates this problem. After the covers are centered and torqued down, use the AlignIt Tools to install the seals in seconds!
Available in the Pro Series 6061 Aluminum Anodized and the standard PVC Plastic. Both are CNC Machined to exact specs from Billet materials.

could match the LS seal and the 4.2 seal for you. If they are the same then the AlignIt might work.
Thanks

The AlignIt, aligns the timing cover with the crank in seconds and then makes installing the seal easy!

The Hub Simulator Tool is for those that do not want to remove the seal. It simulates using your hub to align the timing cover with the seal in place. Because the seal can flex, the Hub Simulator is not as accurate as the AlignIt Tool. For this reason we recommend the using the AlignIt tool over the Hub Simulator.
Thanks
