Default Potential Group Buy On Racing Seats That Can Gain Headroom

We are negotiating with an upholstery factory to manufacture a number of our LX1 seats at a reduced price. Their buying power in purchasing leather hides and cloth rolls combined with a sewing division that already manufactures replacement leather interiors would allow them to upholster the seat less expensively than we can ourselves.

Our LX1 seats can add headroom on our brackets with sliders. The standard shell width is 16.25” across the hip area. The wide versions is 1” wider and fits in the C6 but not the C5. We will have the shells made without the harness cutouts to allow customers to give us input on their torso height and add the holes accordingly. Custom leather seats normally start at $999 each and all the mounting hardware is $299-$329. If we get enough interest we may be able to provide a leather seat WITH mounting hardware for $999. This would be in ebony/black color and other colors somewhat higher. Options like logos, suede inserts, contrasting double stitching, etc. would be additional.

The cloth LX1 seat with mounting hardware normally starts at $998. We should be able to get that to $849 or less with some volume. As mentioned, these seats can add headroom if needed. I fit comfortably in the standard version (5’10 – 195 lbs – 38” waist) and the wider C6 version fits drivers with waists into the 40’s, with a 17.25” shell hip width. We are working on an adapter to allow easier mounting of the C6 stock seat belt receiver for those wishing to do so.
