A cap on that bung and a new bung welded in is a simple fix for that to which we have no problem reimbursing for if need be, again not all have had to do this either! You can also run a skinnier o2 sensor here for more clearance. We are addressing the issues, but for the time being if anyone runs into one of these, no worries, very simple to correct and we will help assist however we can!
Thanks Jon. I relayed your response to my installer - Scotty's Southwest Corvettes. He hates the thought of dimpling brand-new very pretty headers and doesn't like the idea of having to re-weld an O2 sensor bung. But he will do what it takes to get 'em installed properly.

What is disturbing though is that these issues should have been resolved long ago. I was under the impression that XSPower headers were quality products with great fit & finish. That impression is now severely damaged. These headers should have gone in with no problems and should not require dimpling, grinding, re-welding, etc. It's going to cost me extra for all the additional efforts to properly install this system. I hope you give XSPower lots of feedback and advise them that their reputation is at stake! My installer says that he will no longer advise customers to purchase XSPower products. They need to rapidly find out why they're having these defects, upgrade their Quality Assurance programs, and fix the problem!

Yes, we are addressing them to prevent them in the future. However these current issues are anything severe with simple to resolve issues if you run into them, and let me confirm that we have had many without any of these issues at all, it certainly isn't everyone or every set. Rest assured we are making the changes to address these issues however!

Online works best as I have all the information right in front of me to process it! We can do phone as well if you prefer, but the website is the easiest

I have been working for three days on trying to install my passenger side 1 7/8 header with no success. I have removed the starter. I have read all the postings from other forum members and have tried starting the mounting flange in the hole from every position and angle. I have tried the twist/push/pound method with no success. Has anyone needed to do anything else beyond the twist/push/pound?

I did mine last weekend, still have to button up everything but yea.

I almost gave up multiple times, I went from trying the passenger side, back to driver side, yelling things - back to passenger side and voila it just went in. I was shocked, I actually had to take it back out because I forgot to lay in the starter, but a little different situation on drivers side, i had to bend up the frame ends and it went in no problem. Just take a step back, deep breathe and try again, they do go in quite nice

Passenger side fit great, no issues with clearance or with the O2 sensor.

Driver side appeared to be in with no clearance issues as well, but once bolted in it touched the steering shaft... just got back in town and need to take it out again and dimple further. I will post pics of the dimpling once I get it enough to clear. No issues with the O2 sensor, in fact I've screwed it in tight, as I can slide the drivers side in and out with no issues with them installed. These are also the 1 3/4 headers.

Also, FWIW I have 2 grounds on my driver side block. M6 2000

That would be great if I could see what this dimpling looks like. I am so close to pulling the trigger on these. I have the money now, but Im on the fence.

I did 1-3/4 a couple weeks ago..I know that the 1-7/8 is prolly a bit tighter so not an expert on headers, but i did put my passenger side in and out 3 different times for various reasons...You are only a couple hours away, if an extra set of hands would help...i can see what i could do about gettting over there..Let me know.

I had to loosen the motor mounts and jack the engine up to get the passenger side header in. Mine are 1 3/4 from a few years ago.
