***Stealth Light Cannon V2 GP Round 2. Custom dual projector headlights!!!
For those seeking fixed headlights without Frog eyes bulge look no further. Radioflyer's Stealth Light Cannons (Version 2) are the most unique headlights ever designed for the C5 corvette.
After the introduction of the original The Stealth Light Cannons in January the supplier of the projector modules suffered a global shortage for several months. This coupled with ergonomic improvements of the shroud has resulted in the second generation of the Stealth Light Cannons: SLC v2. The v2 model features the following upgrades over the original design:
- Newly developed low profile Bi-xenon projectors.
- Computer designed CNC-cut shroud mold for significantly improved lines and smoother curves
- Lighter weight hardware
- Countless new options not previously available
- Thicker shroud material (0.125” versus the 0.093” of the original SLCs)
What makes SLC V2 special?
The SLC V2 uses Bi-xenon projector optics mounted on reinforced aluminum mounting frames, with thermoformed ABS shrouds and Impact-resistant plastic lenses. In addition, every light cannon kit comes with a Hi-4 harness that allows your Low beams to remain on with your high beams (a feature that until recently required an in depth knowledge of vehicle electronics) I have personally tried or seen every commercially available kit for the C5 corvette and feel the SLC V2s are by far the best performing product bar none.
Unique High beam design:
The SLC V2 has a High beam design unique to all corvettes. In most headlight designs, the outer light is the low beam and the inner light is the high beam. With Bi-xenon technology, a single projector can act as both high and low beams. When high beams are activated, a solenoid moves thee cutoff shield out of the way significantly expanding the output pattern without lighting a second bulb. The result is instant high beam with a much wider field of view than any halogen based reflector could accomplish. In the base kit, the inner projector serves as a secondary high beam with an H1 halogen bulb (mostly for signaling purposes)

New Shroud Design:
The Shroud has been redesigned by CAD 3D modeling removing any imperfections from measurement or hand-sanding. This is the mold they will be formed from:

Installation:
The installation of these lights uses mostly OEM hardware and mounting points. Once the OEM lights are removed, it takes less than 15 minutes to install the new lights. The aluminum frame bolts to the front of the wheel well AND to the frame rail making this the most stable and rigid setup available. No, drilling or grinding is required for installation.
What do they look like:
I do not have a prototype V2 version to show mounted at the moment, however the look will be nearly identical to the original design….but with zero fitment issues, cleaner lines and less lens bulge. These pictures are from the original SLC prototype

What makes SLC V2 superior to other options?
Pop up headlights:
- OEM: Your OEM headlights have a horrible pattern and the bulb only produces 1000 lumens. It’s almost dangerous to drive on an unlit or poorly lit road
- Aftermarket halogen bulbs: These draw more wattage and will often fail faster than OEM bulbs. In addition most “blue tinted” bulbs produce less usable light since the tinting eats up the light output
- HID plug and play kits: The output of the HID bulbs are limited to the poor reflector and lens of the OEM light. There’s often a horrible glare and the output has hotspots that hamper your night vision.
- T84 Euro spec headlights: This kit requires 120 watts of power to get the same amount of output as the light cannon kit and the T84s are not HID friendly housings.
- ACA: While the low beams are decent, but many have reported the high beams section of the housing is not correctly aligned with the low beams resulting in a high beam that shoots into the sky instead of down the road. Lets also not forget that the pop ups of any
- Light Cannons: while these are the best performing Pop up headlights, The 60mm projector features a Clear and larger focusing lens for a wider, sharper and more intense pattern. In addition ALL pop up headlights produce a significant effect on aerodynamics and according to one corvette magazine article, are the equivalent of dragging a 50 pound weight behind your car
- Fixed headlights:
DEPO: These lights have by far the largest “frog eyes” of any of the fixed headlights and are almost as bad of a aerodynamic drag issues as pop ups….except they don’t retract. The Depo lights are also prone to micro-fracturing due to the poor quality plastic used in the main lens.
Specter Werkes: Slightly more aerodynamic than the Depos, they still have the frog eyes. The mounting platform produces a notable vibration in the headlights. The lens mounting design uses exposed screws that some may find aesthetically questionable
Type 66: A little known fixed kit that uses poor quality optics, and materials….not to mention a frog eye lens.
Breathless: While the lens and mounting system are a good design, the parabolic reflector low beam produces a questionable output and pattern…even with the Catz voltage booster.

Secondary Fog light package “A” - (+$120) - Convert your inner projector to an auxiliary fog light or rally light using a modified flat cutoff shield and a 3000K HID bulb for a golden-yellow color. Kit “A” comes with a harness to tap power from your OEM fog light circuit. Optionally, you could run a relay harness and install a switch in the cabin (harness and switch not included)
Secondary Fog light package “ZO6” - (+$250) Specifically for ZO6 or non-fog light-equipped cars. Includes a Relay harness that taps into thee existing fog light circuit and a GM Fog /trunk switch for the cabin enabling your car to work as though it had fog lights from the factory. No splicing or cutting is required to install this kit.
“Hyper Vision” Package – (+$250) The Bad-*** of the headlight world. Features a quad bi-xenon setup where both inner and outer projectors are low and high beams. Nearly 12,000 lumens of output…that’s FIVE TIMES as much output as the stock headlight setup….and with the SLC v2 projector pattern. These are the brightest production headlight for ANY car made.

“Simulated Carbon Fiber Shroud” (+$100) The shroud is made of the same ABS material with a simulated carbon fiber graphics embedded in the ABS material. Virtually indistinguishable from real carbon fiber unless close up: (example picture of another thermoformed ABS part)
Halo Rings - (+$150) install CCFL Halo Rings on each projector. Taps into your parking lights so you can cruise around in style. Can also be wired to a user-added switch in the cabin.
"Demon Eyes" (as pictured below with orange halo rings) blackout 1/4 of the halo ring to make the ring look more sinister. This will be a $50 modification to either white or amber halo rings. (painted main lens not included)
Terminator Eyes (+$100)
The front of the projector's cutoff shield is what's seen through the lens. By painting the front of the shield, it makes the projector lens appear that color. Installing a red rear-facing red LED will make the projector appear to glow red.... "Terminator eyes"
This type of light is indirect or "refracted" light. MOST states do not have regulation that prohibits this for colors other than white or amber. You should check your local DOT laws if you plan on using a different color. Other suggested colors are blue, red, green, UV(purple)
Custom painting: For those that want painted shrouds/lenses, these are the prices for color-code matched pieces (year and color will be needed to get the correct cord) (Paintwork is performed by Richey Collision Inc)

Construction time is estimated to be 3-5 weeks from the end of the GP. Shipping will be via UPS and include tracking information upon shipment unless international or APO shipping is required
Shipping insurance: All of my previous headlight kits have been sent out with only the automatic insurance from UPS. If you wish to add full-coverage to your shipment, there will be a $25 up-charge to cover the difference. Please note if you wish to include this coverage.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Original SLCs suffered from a problem where incoming sunlight refracted through the projector’s focal lens and focused on the shroud itself melting the ABS. This problem was corrected 2 possible solutions:
1) The top half of the projector focal lens is lightly frosted (enough to breakup the direct sunlight without significantly harming the output pattern) Unless otherwise requested, this is the method that will be used.
2) The User paints an “eyebrow” on the main lens (as shown below) that blocks sunlight from ever reaching the projector.
