I'm not sure if it's them but I've seen a CF hood with unacceptable gaps around the headlights...close to 3/4 "...take it for what it's worth.

Sounds like you still can't figure out who is on first, second or third. Take it for what it's worth but make sure you consider the source.

Then again, it appears you hit the nail on the head.

I have been doing some research on hoods, after many hours with google and searching forums the cheaper hoods seam to not fit very well, need extra work to close gaps (add material), sag , corners flip up, underside looks like crap and excessive waviness in finish.
Some have had good luck, others not so much.

This hood biz would be great if the sellers were located in your home town so you could pay them a visit and see what you are getting into. Something this bulky can't simply be returned priority mail...you are basically stuck with it and that is the part that scares most of us off this mod.

I dont see what's not acceptable...Here's my Z (its all about adjustments)
Customers car's (doesn't look unacceptable to me)
The ZR2 hood is a different story and I wont argue that. Which is why I haven't been selling them. We have a new revised version that we are going to test fit, and if it fits well we will release it. As I have mentioned before do not buy from e-bay, you will get stuck with a bad fitting hood, whereas I can get them replaced if there are issues.

Any idea when you might have them available ?

Well, im hoping they will get them test fit next week. Once they do that and I see that they fit well, I will post pix and then I will release them. I believe they should have some available in the next couple weeks.
