As soon as I receive mine I will post up results, but I believe you can only seek forward and back through the playlist you are in. I'm pretty sure you still change other things with the ipod.

How's this for a first post/WAG....this wiring harness will provide an audio path for the iPod/iPhone signal and allow you to adjust the volume but that is about it....best guess from experience is the changer controls are not compatible with iPods functions.

A small price to pay for such convenience plus the usb charging function for the latest model iPhones, frees up the changer space for a sub.....I was about to go to an aftermarket head unit I have on the shelf but now I am ordering one tomorrow.

OOOPs.....just found this after a search: The factory radio enables track selection and FFWD / RRWD just like using a CD changer.

Will it work with a shuffle that only uses 2.5mm headphone jack?

I have this in my Z06 and am pleased!

I have a new 3GS iPhone, 32GB. This adapter charges the iPhone just fine, and I can control the track selection from either the head unit (to an extent) or the iPhone.

For example, when I have my iphone hooked up and playing tunes, I can use the forward / back buttons on the stock head unit to change tracks but there is a slight delay. If I instead do this via the iPhone, it's instant. The delay is more than acceptable to me.

THe sound quality is phenomenal considering I'm using mp3's on a stock sound system. I hear NO hissing or static between tracks; the bass sounds full and powerful when it needs to be... the overall sound quality really impresses me for what I have in the car. This sound certainly isn't on the same low level as FM transmitters.

This is an EXCELLENT way to get mp3's to play on your stock sound system! It's cheap and it works amazingly well... doesn't get much better than that.

I concur with this guy, there is a slight delay sometimes, but its not a big deal to me. Works flawlessly, and sounds great. Very quick to install as well..

The shipping was super fast.

Only thing i have a problem with is now the lights behind the am/fm cd/aux buttons are out. I dont know if i knocked something loose during install, or pulled a wire, or what but the lights are out now. But oh well. I dont think it has anything to do with the product, but i dont know for sure.
