Default FS: VIS Carbon Fiber Hood w/damage $400obo

I have a c5 VIS carbon fiber hood for sale. The hood flexed up on me a got stress cracks. I had the hood looked at by Maier Racing in Hayward, Ca., they said all the fibers are fine, it's just the gelcoat that cracked. This is a $1000 hood that could still be repaired. Asking for $400 obo. I prefer to sell locally so it could be looked at and inspected in person, shipping will also be expensive.

Sorry in advance for any bad quality photos.

shipping shouldn't be more than $200 freight via freightcenter.com! That's how I had my MCM hood shipped! Good luck with the sale!

PMs replied to. The hood is a stock style hood. The damage was caused from having the car parked in the sun all day, which softened the fibers. Then while going 140mph in a windy area, all the air going through the radiator forced the hood to blow up like a balloon. Thankfully the hood stayed latched in all corners and didnt blow off.

If I can't make a local sale, I will be willing to ship at the buyers expense.

Nice car and hood. This hood is not a highrise, it is a stock style hood. All you need to do is paint it, and it could look like this too. I would fix it, but unfortunately I'm going to be selling the vette soon...
