Default 2005 Corvette C6 HID headlights New

I am selling a set of new 2005 Corvette C6 Exposed Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) Headlamps. The headlights are new from GM and were never put on a car. New the lights are over $1,900 from a dealership. I am asking $1400. They are in perfect condition. They are the complete light assembley and include bulds and the wiring harness. The light housing is painted Machine Silver Metallic. These would be great for a wrecked C6, or to install on a 1997-2004 C5 corvette for the new C6 non-popup look. They might also be able to fit C4 corvettes. The body wil have to be modified to make these fit older corvettes such as the bumper, hood and fenders.

A high performance vehicle requires high performance lighting. The new Corvette deleivers. In fact, one of the more distinctive visual features of the new Corvette is its exposed headlamps for better lighting power as well as better nighttime areodynamics. The low beams are a xenon high-intensity discharge (HID) projector lamp coupled with tungsten-halogen high beams. At 900 lumens of output, the units provide significantly more forward lighting power than the headlamps on the fifth-generation Corvette. The low beams also have a spread beam pattern that is wider.

TTT for you, those are awesome! the first hood/bumper setup for the C5 that will accept C6 lights will be on my car faster than you can say C5.

ugh, it makes me so mad to see those. THAT is precisely the level of quality that the SW C5R style lights should be. when you see these it's even more apparent what junk those others are.

Might we assume you attempted a conversion and decided too complicated?

Also, can the lens be removed without destroying it so you can paint the inside?

You would probably have to stick the whole assembly in the oven to heat up the glue around the lens then pull apart. I used to have a 2003 Nissan Maxima with OEM HIDs that are similar to this housing. That was the only way to change the amber turn signal lens to clear. A real PITA.

I bought these from Gene at Fred Beans for more than $1,400. The lens can be removed to paint the bucket. Please dont post in my thread if you are going to bash me. And these would fit. All you need is a good body man and some wiring.

the bitch of it is, they can and do, just not the ones that chose to take a crack at it for the vette...look at APC stuff for other cars, light years better than the crap we got. and MUCH cheaper even. i would actually have been happy to pay what i did for this kind of quality...check this out for a Ford Focus!
