Default Project wider rear tires is underway

I recently received a pair of new Michelin Pilots 335/30/18 from forum member knowme.

I also sent out a check to forum member Butcher for a pair of 275/35/18 Pilots. They should be here in the next week.

I am 99% sure that I will use the new 18x9.5/12.0 Chrome Z06 wheels from Bob at House of Wheels. I do have a few quotes on HREs and iForged. But, I think that I will postpone the tub for now. I have seen these on a couple of cars. I think that it looks cool.

John, these are the exact tires and profiles that I have on my CCWs 18X10 and 18X11.5 Trust me you will love them. Also, you dont need tubbing with these on 11.5 rear wheel. Enjoy

The CCW classics are a nice setup. I debated getting them with polished centers. But, I prefer chrome or high polished. I have a good quote on 18x9.5/11.5 iForged wheels from EFI-1. But, I am reluctant to spend 3k on rims and another 1.5k on minitub. So, I think I will try the Chrome Z06s.

I appreciate your comments. And, BTW thanks for getting the tires to me so quickly!

I just got off the phone with Bob and ordered the 18x9.5/12 Chrome Z06 wheels. They should be here next Monday.

Not yet. The rims and tires are here. I have one pair of spare sensors. But, I am waiting for another pair which I ordered yesterday.

I finally inspected the rims today. They look great. They were packaged really well. They used a plastic ring to protect the outside lip kind of like a tupperware top. I am really impressed.

Man, I just saw the new C6 ZO6 wheels on Corvette Garage's website. The fronts are 18x9.5 and the rears are 18x11. Damn I really like them, and I just bought another set of wheels. I hate when that happens. I might have to sell them and go with the new ZO6 wheels since I haven't bought new tires yet.

Should be a very nice tire setup on the car.

Question regarding ICUALL's car: Does he have funtional Z06 rear brake ducts or are they they stick on type. Reason being is I installed the full set with ducts and new fender wells having 19 x 11 rear wheels with 295/35/19's and the wheels rubbed on the ducts - I had to trim them so the tire would fit. Just woundering if he had the same problem & the solution.
