New Product Poll !...Corvette Accent Graphics, Watcha' think?
4/6/05 UPDATE!! I have completed the stencils and I have a few sets of prototype kit cut for install to evaluate fit and finish. I will be doing this with local FLORIDA members so that I can monitor the install close up.I will be offering several colors for those that have asked for a contrasting colors for the darker color cars.
This thread has be reviewed by the Corvette Forum administrators and is posted with the permission of the Corvette Forum and complies with their policy regarding market reasearch and the possible infrigment of existing CF vendors that advertise on this forum.
So.... I'm starting a small company to keep myself busy while I'm between businesses and I was looking for some feedback from my brethren here on the forum. I need some real world feedback here. I hope you will be fair and honest. If I get favorable results, the finished products will be available shortly off a website that I am working on.
Mind you these pics below are just a few of some very rough prototypes. ..just ideas. I have many options here. So if you have a constructive criticism, I would be open to the suggestion.
You can choose only one accent graphic or all in a complete kit but the finished product will be easy to install and reasonable in cost. This will be a great alternative to painting which is permanent and costly..Let me know

Looks really good! It's something different, than what I've seen offered for the C5's.

Looks good although here's a couple of suggestions:
The graphics, the way they look in the pic are a bit too thick. They need to be thinner, especially on the rear fascia. A thinner version would create the illusion of a shadow and a built in spoiler on the rear.
The hood graphics need to have a sharper end to them, they are too stubby, they need to end with a sharp point.

The rear fascia on my car HAS been painted but.. I can duplicate with a matte black vinyl cut to fit in one piece. You would spray the area with soapy water and adjust to fit. It will require some patience to install but I have done it.You will need a hair dryer for some of the contour just above the exhaust tail pipe but it can be done.
Is this something the majority would be interested in?

I like the rear piece. Not too wild about the hood accent. JMO.

Hey Vince...glad to see u still got the vette. There was a point in time when I thought u might actually sell it. I would be interested in the sticker that covers the bottom of the rear bumper. Would this "mod" be reversible? What type of pricing are we looking at? On another topic, my buddy just moved into your neighborhood. He is a great Dentist, a vette enthusiast and a good guy- Craig Dean. Good luck with this new project.

Hood stripes are OK, maybe can be custom ordered for lettering or ??
I like the upper rear fascia stripe, goes good if someone has painted the lower portion.
I also like the front fascia accents too.

I really like the front. At first my mind said "it's a new tiger shark kit" which is a good thing! Unfortunately it won't do much for my black coupe!
Still cool though!

Thanks, but I'll pass. My car is black and I'm not into accents. Good idea though for other owners of other colours.
Good luck

BTW have you thought doing one to turn the B pillar black? One of the colors I was considering getting was Carmine red and I always thought the lighter colors would look cool with the B pillar in black and all the windows tinted. Also I know some of the decals can be easily removed later on if you change your mind or sell the car. Can these be easily removed?
Just a idea,
Kerry

Thanks for all the comments , good and not so good. I need this feedback so that I can fill the demand.
I will be looking to offer graphic products that you fella's want. I'm just experimenting with several ideas. Thinner rear lip accents..OK.I'll try it and postpics. You let me know if you like it. B pillar black out..OK I'll try it and post. Not a bad idea.
I'm open to suggestions..really! I've already mde up my mind to offer personalized front hood stripes or side/rear decals with " CORVETTE" or " 350 LSI" or "427 LS1" or "500 H.P." or whatever you folks think would be attractive to the "majority. I'm also looking to offering a second or even a third option color on the front and rear fascia decals.
For the black cars the graphite gray is a nice contrast and the medium gray will work with several of the colors on the '97-2004 C5's..
So keep the comments coming. I'm giving you all an opportunity to get involved in the design process..Let me know

Nice subtle(sp) accents, not in your face. I'll get to see it in person tomorrow. Should be before noon Vince.
