You can get a year's subscription to ALLDATA for your year for less than $25. The manuals cost $90-$120.

Picked up a set for my '02 from a Forum member for $70 + shipping. Perfect cond.
They do show up pretty frequently on ebay as well, and that's about the going rate there.

Just an FYI, the 04 is a 2 volume set. You can aslo get the CD one that covers all GM cars.

Check with Bob in Parts at Ken Fichtner Chevy. He can get them for you and at a decent price. If you go to major Vette shows, you may be able to pick up a set there also.
