Does anyone have the GM credit card that got the offer for 5K off a GTO that they are not going to use? I spoke with the credit card people and yu can use anyones "offer". If anyone has it and is interested in helping me save 5K let me know.
BTW, I am not getting rid of my Vette!!!!

How can you use anyones offer, when some of my points are attached to the 2000 points they are topping you off at. Also to use the points you have to call ahead and fill out a form then notify the dealer after you made a deal.

Hmmmm let us know how you made out.

Mt GM Card was "topped off" at $2,000. I don't think anyone can use the credit. Actually the card is in my wifes name for her business and she had to add me as a user on it. The dealer can process the credit on the spot, he justs calls somewhere and gets an authorization, I am sure of this just did it last month.
According to gmcard.com the redemption allowence on a GTO is $1,000 and they will let you use the additional $1,000 that is topped off.
Dealers have "certificates the can use from GM to make a deal. My deal had 3X$500 certs on it. They don't offer, you have to negotiate it.

Hope this helps,
Merry Christmas and pray for our troops...

They will use the extra $1,000 on the round up, making it a total of $2,000

No they won't. The round up is for people who have say 1200 they will round you up to 2000. Then all the other requirments still have to be met.

I have called and asked about an 05 and an 04 trailblazer. I also asked about the GTO and the Corvette and they are $1000 regardless if you have 10000 points.

Regardless you still can not use someone else points either.

If either of these have been done, let me know and I'll call them and bitch them out for lying.

While you weren't looking, we topped off your Earnings to $2,000—only select GM Cardmembers can save this big. With your topped-off Earnings plus the exclusive $500 Bonus Earnings on the eligible vehicles listed to the right, you've now got $2,500 in Earnings. And that's $2,500 on top of most currently available GM incentives.

The following are the GM vehicles eligible for GM Card Earnings redemptions, and the Redemption Allowances that apply.

The Redemption Allowance is the maximum amount of GM Card Earnings that can be applied toward the purchase or lease of each vehicle. Redemption Allowances are established for the duration of each vehicle's model year and may increase during promotional periods.

From the website and info I get in the mail.

Mine was about $750 and it rounded up to $2,000. All $2,000 was applied to an 04 beginning of this month.

Did you go over to LS1 Tech and look, how much more proof do you want? There is like a half dozen guys that bought cars in the last couple weeks with these discounts....You want me to link the thread? Below is the body of just one of a couple threads on this topic, hope this helps...Two threads to look at over there, "Best GTO price you got in the last two weeks?" and "$5000 GM card incentive-new 04 for $18,622" There's even one guy that bought a GTO without using his full card incentive, called up GMAC after the sale and the dealer is sending him a check for the extra incentive!

'Normally I do not cross post from other forums, but I haven't seen this mentioned on this forum yet, and I figured you guys might want to save a few grand... GM Card is offering an additional $3000 off ADDED to the already $2000 roundup bonus for a total of $5000 off. Only some cardmembers were selected for this and it is a random process. You had to be a member before the roundup promotion began last month.

Yes, it can be combined with any GMAC rebates as well as the $500 dealer value certificates. I have called GM Cardmember Services twice and it has been verified. Other members from other GTO sites have confirmed this as well. Here is a deal I am able to get.... three different dealers agreed to this:'

'$30,700 - Invoice for M6 including destination

($1500) - Dealer value certificates

($5000) - GMAC rebate

($500) - Half of the holdback

---------------------------

$23,700 plus TTL.... minus GM card roundup of $5000 (technically $5073 for me), so $18,622. About $20k out the door.

Those who live in the East with the $5500 GMAC rebate can actually get this car for less than this, if they qualify for the GM card roundup. Some might even be able to get all of the holdback, so it might be possible to get into the high $17k range, almost half of MSRP.

This is for a silver with red interior M6. Post your comments!'

$23K is about right to fend off attacks from the Mustang GT. Sure the GTO has a lot of power and great interior space, but the car is bland, and the aftermarket support or anything but the engine will likely never come close to the support offered for the Mustang. Right now the GTO is the ultimate sleeper. It needs to look good. I loved the Trans Am for it flambouyant looks, but the GTO looks like a Grand Prix or G6.

Yeah I agree, I just bought my Vette a few weeks ago because I could not get over the bland looks of the GTO. Iam a Pontiac nut, even with the 05 hood, exhaust and 400HP plus new ground effects package I could not get over the looks. The interior is great and it rides nice, handling is not bad too but just not as fun to drive as my Vette, not even close.
