Default Thinking about CE Z06

There is one CE Z06 left at my favorite chevy dealer and they want 48k. They will give me 30k for my '02 vert with 5k miles. With 0% for 72 months that is Around 250/mo. Is this CE z06 worth the extra 15-18 grand?

48k seems a little high but it sounds like a fair price on the trade. As far as value, that is a personal question. If you have the money and want the car, its worth it.

I've been looking at Z16's and that is the going price here in FL. Does that include the $3,000 rebate? If so, they will add that back in and the car goes for $51k then. Beware as I ran across this just the other day. If you are getting it for $48k at 0% (less your trade), that seems like a good deal.

Of all the C5's I think the CE Z06 is the nicest one of all.

30k for your trade in seems low, I would think you can sell it on your own for at least 35k, assuming with only 5k miles it is in pristine condition.

You may be able to get the Z16 a little cheaper, but the price they are offering on your car is not bad. You can almost always do better selling it yourself, but then the other car may be gone by the time you get it sold. If you like the car, go for it before it is too late. I love the looks of the Z16 and the performance is sweet.

not worth it if you ask me. you have a sweet car and you are getting killed on the depreciation. I would never do it.

15-18K plus yours for a brand new CE Z06?...he77 yes I would do it...its the last of the '04's and its a CE Z06...you won't find another one like that soon...you better jump on it fast before it is gone and it will be gone soon...promise

Right. I do not like the Z16 so much as to loose 15k immediately and then watch major depreciation happen. I think I will wait for the C6 Z06 to ripen for a years or so and then maybe use the vert for a down payment. Plus the wife just reminded me that the home equity loan is for our house not the garage.

Now I know that its not exactly the same but what if you put another 15 grand into your car? It could make your car pretty darn fast and handle pretty darn well... while keeping the vert aspect But then again, with the Z06, you get it right out of the box...

An extra 15-18 grand for 50hp, better suspension, 5,000 miles less on the odometer, a warranty that starts from day 1, and you lose the convertible aspect. I'd say 5,000 miles in negligible.

15-18 grand is a very high percentage of your current car's resale value or the CE Z06...

I traded in my 03 coupe for one. Man what a difference! I had no idea how much better of a car the Z06 is.

I hated the stripes at first, but now I love them. Its nice having something unusual. My vote is yes.
