Default Build Sheet Location

I just received my window sticker and build sheet (for my 01 Z06) from the NCM. I was wondering where the original build sheet could be found? I had a '67 big block vert years ago and when I learned of the tank sticker and where it was located, I checked, and there it was. Just wondering.

I believe there is one located inside the front bumper.

Actually it is supposed to be folded up and stuck inside one of the front cross members behind the bumper. It is my understanding that the sheet is near to impossible to remove intact, unless the entire front bumper assembly is removed.

That's where it is. Too bad they don't include it in the glove box - would be much easier to retrieve and you would not have to order one at a later date if you wanted to see it.

If you go to the C5 Registery site, Dan has an article on why and how the build sheet is placed in the car. He even gives you instructions on how to locate it on your car.

Why would they do that, and not put it in the glove box for the customer?

In conjunction with our Museum delivery, one of the plant employees presented us with an original copy of our build sheet while touring the plant. It's a very nice piece of documentation to have.

Thanks guys for the info. I will NOT be taking my car apart. When I sell it, I will inform the new owner as to its location.
Thanks again,
