Default Pay full sales tax when you trade a car in NJ?

Hey guys, I live in NJ. If I trade my Z06 for a car out of state, when I register the new car in NJ, do I pay sales tax on the full amount, or just the difference between the trade and the new car?

Thanks,

Moe

In my state you pay only the difference in auto's. You would be double taxed if you had to pay for your tax a second time. Good luck.

In NJ,you pay sales tax only on the difference of the new car minus the trade in amount... You already paid sales tax on the old car, thustly, that would be double taxation as mentioned above.

In california, you pay the total tax BUT they give you a credit for the tax paid out of state.
So you pay the difference.
