I like the smooth shape of the C5 and BSM's break it up too much...
Just my .02 worth... (and like my friends say. Worth every penny)

the BSM's are not as clean looking as the clean lines of a C5, but two dings are worse looking than the side moldings.. the BSM stop car door hits of every type. different doors can place different level dings on the side of the car.... my car is five years old has 55,000 miles and I dont have one ding... I also have BSM...

My 2000 didn't have BSMs and I had huge door dings on both sides in 29K miles. My 2003 had BSMs but I didn't like the look so I took them off. I noticed on the passenger side BSM a HUGE 1/4 inch dent. But no door damage. If I'd noticed it before I had them half off I'd have kept them. My 2004 CE had BSMs. So does my MSG and I'm keeping them.

If your car is a daily driver door dings a part of life. Parking spots are to close. But side moldings look like cr*p in my opinion. I would suggest rethinking where you park. Never park with cars on either side of you. Always take the right side parking spot, the odds are there is no passenger in the car on the left. The best spot has no parking to your right.

Mine came with my car and I think they look great! It adds to the car. I don't think I would have bought one without them. I say go for it!!!
