Default Will Bleach Hurt Clear Coat?

I ask because, My parents just had their roof cleaned, and the person cleaning it was using Bleach just pure bleach, it got all over my car *black corvette* as soon as I saw it on my car I washed it off but now I see tons and tons of little spots on my car that are not coming off, he said he contacted a paint shop and they said it would not harm my car, would this harm my paint/clear coat?

If you were to get bleach spilled on your paint AND washed it off immediately, it wouldn't hurt anything. If you spilled bleach on a hot surface or left it on the paint in the hot sun, I promise you it'll stain.....

Then let him get it off.. He caused it, so I'd expect him to fix it..

Just my .02 worth.

If you say you have spots that arent coming out, then you have damage. Get the contractor to agree to pay for it and take it to YOUR body shop, not his. Good luck and hopefully its just clearcoat damage.

my neighbor washes her chrysler sebring in laundry soap cause it makes it smell pretty, yeah...she's a bit odd. anyway, i dont think she uses bleach but i can tell u the laundry soap took all the wax right off and now instead of being dark amyythist (sp?) colored its kinda a fuzzy maroonish, brownish with paint peeling from the spoiler type of thing.

If your black car mysteriously starts turning white, I'd say you have a problem

This is the best advice here... I wouldnt screw around dealing with a roofers expertise on car paint.

Houshold bleach is a VERY strong oxidizer.
You have a paint problem and the roofer is responsible for correcting it.
Good luck.
