arrogant cobra owners
urgh, so of you many know that I once was part of svtoa local chapter here (had a lightning) and now I cant even post on their forums without some kinda of c5 insult. Since most of them have low 11 second cobras and some even in the 10's I guess they have a point - but It gets old. Ive allways loved ford and chevys both - didnt know some people were so divded.
sorry just had to rant alittle.

Kinda like Kerry/Bush supporters...both have their strong opinions and neither will convince the other that they are wrong.
Ask the other guys when was the last time the Mustang won the "Car of the Century" Award from SAE (as the Corvette has done). That may quiet them down a bit...

I completely agree. Though I like Corvettes, I don't expect everyone else to (though I can't understand why...lol)
A couple of days ago, I gave the wave to a really good looking mustang, the guy looked at me like I was an idiot. Oh well.

As long as you associate with people who measure their cars by how fast they will accelerate in a straight line you have to expect that sort of thing.
If you want to associate with Corvette owners, whose cars will also turn and stop, you will see less of that. It won't go away, but it will decrease.
Enjoy!

yeah, the kerry/bush arguments are ongoing there too
How does a vette stack up against an 03 cobra as far as cornering, braking, lateral accel etc?

I'm long past worrying or caring what other people think. I've come to the conclusion that opinions are like noses - everyone has one and everyone else's smells!
If these guys want to bash Corvettes or anything else - who gives a flip?

ummm ... who cares?
that's part of the problem, people trying to stack cars against over cars ... I love mustangs, still a ponyboy by heart just their mean looking stance, i saw one in a parking lot the other day with a steeda package my jaw dropped and i was in love all over again ... my friend just kinda looked at me and said, you have a corvette. I said, so.
I love my car, but it just doesn't give me that same mean look, it may be faster than most, but WHO CARES.
nuff said ... both chevy & ford are

i went to a mustang show and shine the other weekend in my vette i gave the thumbs up to a few stangs and talked to a few within sight of my vette and got nothing but thumbs up and nice car comments from them, most REAL CAR guys appreciate a nice regardless of brand . But there will always be those snobs that are ignorant azzes - I ignore them

This may not have much to do with this, but heres something I figured out over some time and found quite interesting.
If a mustang owner bashes a corvette, no big deal, its ok. If a corvette owner bashes a mustang, he is a rich stuck up arrogant SOB who thinks his car is the best thing on the road.
I love both cars, but sometimes its hard to say nice things about the other car, when they are constantly bashing you.

I used to like beating up on 'stangs with my WS6 T/A. Unfortunately for us it seems that it takes much more $$$ to mod our vettes than it does the 'stang. Dollar for dollar the prices we pay are insane!!!! When the F-body still existed, aftermarket parts for them were much cheaper than for the vette, even if they were the exact same part(with a different part #). Slick
