Having Trouble Installing the CLB
Has anyone had this problem getting their CLB module installed...
PROBLEM:
My vehicle's column lock connector plug does not fit the cigarette lighter adaptor plug. There is an obvious mis-match between the two. The cigarette lighter adaptor plug is rectangular. My vehicle's plug has the same rectangular shape, but also has a lip on the end of it. That lip prevents them from connecting.
It appears I can shave off this lip with a razor and it wouldn't harm anything and would allow them to fit perfectly.
Thunder Racing has never heard of this occuring.
Any insight?

I know this might sound daft, but are you 100% sure you've disconnected the right piece of the wiring loom under the steering column?
The wires are black, green, orange and purple.
The next bit of 'this might sound stupid but' is, are you trying to connect the cigar lighter adapter to the correct side of the connector you have just taken apart? Although the adaptor is 'male' the female connector actually goes inside of the casing.
Hope this helps. I'm sure you'll got lots of other tips too.
Good luck with it.

Do you need to keep the CLB plugged into the lighter forever? I want to do the CLB thing but don't want a wire running out of my ashtray forever. (I tried to search the CLB plugs but there's just too many posts to plow thru.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Binford Tools quote of the day: Real men don't need instructions.
Why do the suppliers of product keep including all those wasted pieces of paper with words, pictures and diagrams??? Just trying to confuse us, right?
Glad your mod came out fine...
