Which wheels do you like best?
I've been shopping around for aftermarket wheels. I've changed my mind several times. First, I wanted Fikse Mach V's. Then, I definitely wanted chrome Mallets. No, no, I mean I want Iforged Aeros. Nope...I really want Fikse Profil 5's. Well, you get the picture.
After several months, I've narrowed it down to three choices:
1. The new CCW SP500 in 19x10 and 19x11. Click the link for pics: CCW SP500 Link .
2. SSR GT3's in the satin finish. Clink these links for pics: GT3 Link 1 or GT3 Link 2 to show Satin Finish (Sorry its not a Vette) .
3. CCW Classics with Black Centers. Click this link for pics: CCW Classics Link .
Please vote in the poll and post any comments, suggestions, or experiences.
Thanks.

While I would have easily picked the Mach V or Aero's before any that made your final cut...of the ones we have to choose from, the SSR GT3 got my vote.

I know nothing about wheels yet...
what problems does clear coating cause?? (trying to learn something)
ScottN...that's definitely an Infiniti G35, not a porsche ...unless I am looking at the wrong link
oh yeah, and the SSR's look the best of the three

Melting Slicks
I like the new CCW SP500. I may get them for my car eventually.

Thats a tough call without having seen the SP500's on a vette. Based on
that, at this point I'd have to go with the GT3's. However if I were you,
I'd wait until John gets pics of the 500's on a vette then make the call.

But since that is an option to vote for, I like the CCW SP500 the best!

javdaddy04 - Yeah, its not a Porsche, duh...I had Porsche on my mind because my father-in-law is getting one. Oh well, I edited my post so no one will know what you're talking about now.
Everyone, thanks for the suggestions. Keep em coming.

If you try to polish it too much and you wear through it.. you now have two tone aluminum wheels.. there is nothing uglier than aluminum wheels with the clear starting to come off.. when do you have them stripped and re cleared??..how much ugly are you willing to take before you get the tires dismounted and send them out to be redone..??? it's way more grief than I want to deal with.. The CCW 505's are top notch wheels.. not clear coated because CCW knows better.. uncoated wheels will always look new if you take care of them.. even some road rash can be handled and brought back to new status with little effort...

I went with the CCWs with black centers, because my car is black. I sort of twisted John's arm a little, and convinced him to powder coat the centers black, as I wanted a gloss finish.
After doing mine, he said that it was a lot of hassle, since the powder coater had a hard time getting the coating on evenly. Therefore, he wasn't doing any more, but I love the look!

Looks like the CCW SP500's have made a comeback to catch the SSR's.
Just an FYI, I still really like the Fikse Mach V's but they barely missed out on my final cut. There's something about their lip that I don't like as much as my final 3.
The SP20's are pretty tempting as well.
