Default Rear 18 Inch Wheels All Around

Can you do this and put a different size tire on the front to keep from tripping up the Tration Control? If so, what size tires? Anyone have any pics from the side to show what it looks like?

I think the back spacing is different on the rear wheels. I don't have my manual handy but I believe thet the rear wheels won't clear the front rotors.

Harold: 18s all around won't mess with Traction Control as that only effects your spinning your rear wheels. You might mean Active Handling and again, no it shouldn't effect that as it is controlled by various handling input sensors - but not wheel size.

I moved stock rear Y2K's to the front and bought a set of 18x10.5's for the rear. I'm using 295/35 and 275/35's...I'll send you a side shot pic.

You'll definitely have no problem, if you keep your fronts 1/2 to 3/4 in shorter than the rears. It's the ABS/TC computer that can give you problems if the fronts don't consistently turn slightly faster than the rears. Notice most of the replies listed larger rears, even on the same size rims. A few folks have done the same sizes, front and rear, with no problems. More have had the Service ABS message accompanied by the dreaded "reduced power mode."

I will have some side shots uploaded in a few days of our current setup, but they look similar to these pics as for sticking out in comparison to the fender/1/4 panel lip ..........here are 275/40/18s at all 4 corners! Yup I was playin and ran this for days w/o any rubbing or TC issues Note: each car is different with this set-up, some are fine, some no likey

Yeh it was a 4 x 4 with these but it was just an experiment, road good though. Good luck

Does any vendor make a Polished/clearcoated wheel like the stock in a 18x9.5 and 18x10.5? The chrome is too bright for my taste. I prefer the stock look.
