Default Your Picks: Top 10 Corvette Mods and Add-ons...

Hey Guys,

This summer I bought a 2004 C5 and am interested
in making it "my own" now - adding some mods/add-ons...

But I'm not sure where to start. I suppose some new
rims would be #1? I'm not really looking for engine
mods right now... Mostly just exterior stuff (for asthetics)...

I'd love to hear your top picks as far as this goes - and
some links to suppliers would be awesome!

Thanks in advance,

-Bryan

You are right - rims would be right up there. Many to choose from.

Here's some other thoughts:

* Motor City Mold high rise hood (www.motorcitymold.com)
* Vette Essentials interior (www.vetteessentials.com)
* Painted engine components (www.kewlauto.com)

Congrats on the car.

Bryan,

Congrats on your new ride and welcome to CorvetteForum. If your goal is to add a little bling I would start with a nice rims and tires package. Personally I like the Ronell and Fiske rims. Expect to spend at least $3K for a *good* rims and tire package.

Don't forget to wave.

Ok.. First off what color is your car? Anyway, here is what I would do:

#1 Lower the car on stock bolts FREE

#2 Cast aluminum gas pedal/dead pedal $190

#3 Lloyd's mat's and floor / cargo mats $170

#4 Corvette stainless steel exhaust plate $50

#5 Computer aided gear selection remover (CAGS) $25 *MN6 tranny only

#6 Front and rear stainless steel letters (Dont dare put a front license plate on) $130

#7 z06 front screens & brake duct screens $145

#8 SSR wheels (different the what everyone else has, why I like em) $2500

#9 Corsa exhaust (your choice of tips) $800

#10 A&A Custom procharger w/ intercooler Come on, cant go all show no go! $5,000

Not sure if you have a MN6 or A4 but would recommend shortening the stock shifter and adding a MGW Gripper shift **** if you have a MN6. The shorter throw has a much better, crisper feel. Looks better, too. Their matching ebrake handle is nice as well.

MGW

My next appearance mod will be wheels...just not sure which ones. Considering CCWs, fikse profils, or SSR GT3s.

CCW

Fikse

It's fun being in this forum, it grows on you. The only setback is that you'll spend more than you plan because of the new stuff that keep coming up to mod your car.

That's the best looking aftermarket shifter I have seen for the vette. Just placed my order!! Thanks for the link!
