Pietra Ligure in Italy to Munchen Gladbach in Germany. Planned to stop in Switzerland overnight but it was raining cats and dogs. Stopped for dinner and pressed on. Set off at 7 AM and arrived at 1AM the following morning. Drove all the way myself. Can't remember the actual mileage but way over 1000 miles!

Wasn't in the Vette though!

Longest I have driven at once by myself about equals the longest I have flown (piloted) at once = 15 hours. Flying, BTW, is much easier on the brain, much tougher on the rump!
I made that same drive in 1991 while in the Air National Gaurd. The worst part was that I did it in a 1990 Isuzu regular cab pick-up

Longest drive was 25 hours from Bowling Green Kentucky to Boston. I was coming back from the Corvette Forum Cruise In 1. And that was after partying with forum members for 3 days straight. Will never do it again.

Actually my LONGEST trip non stop was 2 days after 9-11. I was in Phoenix Arizona when the towers were hit. No planes, and my kids were in a panic at home in Columbus. Soooooo we rented a car and drove straight through.

1945 miles in 26 hours! But wifey drove too. I ain't man enough to go it alone!

It was weird to because there was a lot of traffic on the roads with people getting home and the cops where NOT ticketing anyone for speeding. Traffic was going 90 miles and hour most the time. A lot of flags! Bad day...good drive.

9/11 I got stuck in Orlando Fl., rented a Buick Park Avenue and drove back to San Diego non stop. 32hrs. straight accept for gas, burgers and an occasional leak. No cd's, am radio the whole way. Loneliest nights I have ever had driving cross country listening to a.m. radio on the evening of 9/11.

22 hours in the Vette. Palm Bay, FL to Atlanta, GA. We just evacuated for hurricane Frances. Got stuck in traffic with 2.8 million other drivers leaving Florida. It only took 8 hours to get home.

Drove from Cary, NC to El Paso, TX nonstop. Approx. 1850 miles in 29 hours. Drove it all myself and only stopped for food and gas and one unscheduled stop by the Missisippi hwy police because I passed them at triple digits while they were merging onto the highway (just got a warning .) Next morning, I continued my trip to San Francisco, CA

Don't know the mileage, but New York to Atlanta in a Dodge R/T when I got out of the service in 1969.

Question for you New York guys, does anybody up there ever wash a car, or was that just a southern thing?

May of '92 - Washington, DC to Sacramento, CA (about 2800 miles) - 3 days with stopovers at Memphis and Alburquerque. Several trips from DC to Boca Raton (about 850 miles) during the '90s usually took between 12 and 15 hours.

Jacksonville, FL to Los Angeles (2700 miles) when I got out of the Navy in '67. Shared driving for the 49 hours. It would have been quicker, but I had an Olds 442 with 4.33 gears and had to stop every 150 miles for gas!

In the 'Vette (and by myself) 830 miles from Ft Collins, CO to Las Vegas. Done that one three times now. Piece of cake.

In the 'Vette I've done the 830 miles from Ft Collins, CO to Las Vegas several times. With the mostly 75MPH speed limit, it is a relatively easy 1 day drive (11-12 hours with fuel and 'rest' stops).
