Saw a C6 up close today
And I wasn't impressed, in fact I walked right by it without knowing what it was! Since this car show was at a dealership I asked if there were any C6 around, the guy told me you just walked past one. Don't like the exposed headlights or the stupid shark with no teeth look!
Hope the new Z06 doesn't look like that!

I saw one a couple of days ago. I liked the style and look of the car, but it doesn't compare to the C5. I don't like that it's smaller (inside and out), that is obvious at first glance.

Re: Saw a C6 up close today
I've seen a couple of C6s on the street and I have mixed feelings about them.
- I did not like the car at all when I saw it on paper, it looks much better on the street.
- I really like the profile, Better even than the C5.
- I like the back view, of course it looks pretty much like a C5
- I still dislike the front, so far it's not "growing on me". I looks like a cross between a Camaro and a Miata. It does not even resemble a Corvette. A Corvette without pop-up headlights??? Surely you jest.
- I kinda like the fact that the C6 is smaller. The C5 is a tad bit large IMO.
Bottom-line. Great car! Worthy successor to the C5.
Ciao,
Rick

I guess the jury is still out as far as the C-6 is concerned. I do find it amusing that the latest Viper seems to have borrowed some styling clues from the C-5 and now the C-6 seems to have reciprocated the favor by borrowing some clues for the side styling from the snake. The front end reminds me of the Mitsubishi 3000-GT.

Saw a C6 in real life yesterday, touched it, sat in it and all I can say is; If it was the first vette I ever saw I would not have had all of my dreams about owning one. I would not be drooling to have one.

I was at the 1st annual Ohio Corvette gathering today here in columbus. They were expecting about 500-not sure how many there were, but I got there at 11:00 and was #189.
There were six C6's parked together, and I must say they really looked out of place. In the sea of C2/C3/C4/C5's(and a few C1's), they just did not seem like a part of the family. you can see the history and gradual changes from the early models up to the present. Then you see the C6 and it's like, well maybe its a viper, no wait it could be the new Supra. Just not enough family resemblence for me.
I did not like the C6 from the first time I saw it as I felt it was designed totally in the wind tunnel and aerodynamics took priority over style and heritage.
It just reinforced my decision that my recent purchase of an '04 Z06 was the right one and I have no desire to own a C6 whatsoever.
