C5 Better Looking than C6 By a Mile...
Hi Guys,
Is it just me, or are you disappointed by the
"looks" of the C6 as well?
I mean, technically I'm biased since I own
a 2004 C5...
But, I just can't get into the looks of the C6.
(And not to toot my own horn, but rather to
make a point: I could buy a *few* of them right
now, if I wanted.)
To me, the C6 looks like some Mitsubishi Eclipse
or similar Japanese car...
Of course, the 50 extra horses are fine
and dandy, but how much horsepower do you
really need?
I don't want to upset any C6 owners here,
I truly, seriously, honestly (insert adjective)
don't like the looks of the C6 nearly as much
as the C5 body style...
Your thoughts? Is it just me or are they
going in the WRONG direction with body style?
Obviously GM isn't the only company to do it -
I like the OLDER Dodge Vipers quite a bit better
than the newer models. It's like car companies
try to improve on something that's already PERFECT!
If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it! ...But in all fairness
I suppose that's what you've got to do (as an auto
manufacturer), to keep the sales coming in. Lots of
people out of nothing more than human nature consider
"newer" better, and will buy the "latest" model for that
reason alone.

If I had the two cars side by side and did not know if one was a later style than the other, I would pick the C5. I have a C5 and do think that it is the better looking of the two. This obviously is a personal choice and later on, I may come around to the styling of the C6. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people bought Yugo's and AM Pacer's and thought that they were the cats meow. I had a friend who owned a Pugeot (one of the older ones with the one spoke steering wheel) and he thought that it was the ultimate car. Vive la difference!!

As they say about opinions everybody--- ,Oh well. I like the C6. I'm not thrilled out of my mind over it, but I'll take a Vert in deep blue or dark red with a tan interior.

I had always wanted a Corvette after owning many cars. I waited until I saw the C6 in January after the Detroit Auto Show. That is when I went and bought a C5 CE coupe. Love it. I voted with my wallet.
The biggest objection for me were the lights. I did not realize it until someone (above in this thread) mentioned a Viper. My brother-in-law said the C6 remined him of a *** imitation of an Italian car.
I did not like the C4 so I did not buy one. Love teh C5 . . .
