Default Kid at gas station!

Went to the gas station after dinner. We pulled up to the pump and there was a kid with his mother standing by their car. When my husband pushed the button for the gas tank to open he yelled "Woah!" That really made me laugh! He kept looking at my car, while it was getting more "go juice." When my husband got finished paying for gas, and we started to leave, the headlights came up, the kid said "Cool!" I am so glad I could easily impress a young kid. Maybe he is a future Vette owner!

My son and I just got back from the pizza joint! While driving thru the parking lot a group of 18-19 year olds walked in front of us. One said "check out the 'vette. Those are sick wheels. Listen to that exhaust". As they are walking away one calls out "nice car". I said "thanks" as I drove off with a smile.

My 14 year old daughter had one of her friends over tonight. When it was time to take her home she asked to go in the COOL CAR. my daughter got very upset that she missed a ride in HER car. But her friend smiled all the way home and when I dropped her off at her mothers she told her thatwe HAVE to get one of those cars I just smiled and drove away

I had to pick up my daughter from a good friends house a couple of weeks ago. It was a great clear day and about a 15 mile highway drive so naturally I took the Vette. My buddy knew I had a Vette and is dying to buy one. His wife on the other hand is too practical so he must wait. Anyway, I pulled up in his little culdesac where about 15 kids were all out playing in the street. When I pulled up his daughter turned to my daughter and said, "You are the luckiest girl in the world." She then turned to her Dad and said, "Daddy, we really need one of those so we can be cool too." I felt really bad for him. She was a seven years old by the way. I let him drive her around the block in it. It is the only person who has driven my car besides me but it was worth all the smiles I witnessed that morning. His wife told me not to come around the house anymore with the vette.

Heh. When I first got the Vette I had to show it off to all my friends. On one of the trips out I needed to tank up, so pulled up and we both got out of the car. As we were chatting and I was putting in my CC for the pump, I had forgotten to press the gas-door release button. I asked her to lean in and press the gas button under the center console. Heard a "AHH!" as she was surprised by the slap on the *** from my Vette!

Kids and Vettes seem to go together. I guess most of us Vette owners are still kids at heart.

I especially enjoy compliments from kids, because they see the world through pure, untainted eyes and know a thing of beauty when they see it.

He'll have to get a "classic" vette to get popups if the C6 trend continues.

I have owned my 04 TR for three months and have giving rides to more than a dozen kids that live in our neighborhood. Their excitement is contagious at the least and the smiles are worth the time.
I am still not used to the cachunk noise right behind my head when I pop the gas door. Gets my attention every time. Guess this is more evidence I am a first time owner.

Kids seem to know a great car when they see one.

A co-worker brought his 14 year old son to one of our softball games. After the game and on our way to getting something to eat, I ask him "Want to go for a ride in a REAL car?" His eyes light up, and we head out. After a couple of WOT blasts and a few hard corners we end up at the food joint. He couldn't get rid of the smile on his face all evening. He found a used car handout and was pestering his father about getting a used 97 when he got his license.

I see his father again about two weeks later, and he sez (good naturedly) "Thanks a lot, Ed! All my son has been talking about for the last two weeks is how he can get the money to get a Vette when he's old enough to drive!"
