Hey fellas,

I have been reading the forums, trying to figure out how to lower the car, and I just wanted to double check what I am doing.
Rear:

Is this the bolt, and C-clip? I can't seem to get the C-clip off the top. Then the bushing I am supposed to cut is on the top right?

Front:

Is this the bolt I am supposed to tighten? It doesn't look like much of a bolt to me.

Any helpful tips you guys can lend would be grately appreciated.

Jusgung from those 2 pics, your car appears to be already lowered within it's stock adjustment range. You have no exposed threads above the nut on the rear bolts, and based on the locking clip position of the front bolt, it appears to be threaded up into the spring already.

If you want it lower than that, you'll want to install longer rear bolts, and cut the front bushings.
You do not need to cut any rear bushings...just get some 1/2" x 6.5" grade 8 bolts and locknuts to replace the 5.5" bolts you have now. Grip the C-clip with a pliers and yank it off.

Tom is absolutely on target. Looks like you got all you're gonna get with the stock bolt travel. Here are a few pics of mine with the stock bolts only.

Thanks for the quick replies! I guess i will need to look into the longer rear bolts and cutting the bushings up front.

What is the bolt on the top of the front bolt? It looks like a stop or something for suspension travel, but I am not sure.

I am concerned because on the driver side of my Z the bolt is all the way against the leaf spring, and on the passenger side it is backed out nearly to the top.

Which way should I have this bolt? The car seems to be sitting level, and there isn't a discrepancy between the height front one side to another.

Are you the first owner and was it ever in an accident? Your bushings may be cut/removed on one side but not the other.

Mike, LGM lowered the car for me so you way want to call them if you have any questions or concerns. One thing to keep in mind is if you lower the rear you will have to clearance the a-arm to clear the 18"x12" rim. At least I had to on the 1999 hardtop I had before the Z06.
