Converting to dual climate control

Converting to dual climate control
I recently purchased a '98 black on black coupe. Absolutely amazing! However, I would like to install the dual climate control system. First of all, has anyone ever heard of removing the standard stock AC and putting in the dual digital system? Who would know how to do this? How much approximately would this cost? Thanks so much.

Everything I've ever, read, heard, or seen says don't try it.
Way too much hassle (all kinds of sensors, etc.) I've got a 99 with the "plain" ac and it's fine. Frankly, having had a C4 with the automatic system and now a C5 with the manual. I'll take the manual in a heartbeat.

I have the dual control but it's really not that big a deal. I had it on a Pontiac GP and you could actually change the pass side temp. On these you control the pass side relative to the drivers. My advise is don't waste time or money.

That's funny because I have the dual on my FRC and I want to go to the single. Dual is not worth it at all, it doesn't work like it supposed to and it has too many complicated actuators and crap to break. Keep it simple

I hope my C5 has it when it arrives. Not that big of a deal because I usually prefer the 2 windows down AC system , but my girlfriend is very cold natured so dual climate would be just what we need

You two just go on ahead and switch cars then.
