My new C5
I just made a "hold payment" for a new C5 Commemorative Editition Coupe w/ Mag ride, two tops, Corsa Exhaust, 6 speed, CD changer, polished wheels and all those other wonderful goodies that are standard. I pick the car up Monday morning. Most of you guys know the feeling--it may be tough to sleep this weekend.
Any suggestions on the first couple performance mods--I want to start with a couple lower price mods.
I am fairly new to this forum and look forward to lots of exchanges with you folks.

Congrats!
You'll want to look into a new intake. Donaldson Blackwing is among the most popular but there are dozens of choices. Other than that you can mess around under the hood with Mass Air Flow Sensors, couplers and such. But you won't see a tremendous gain from all that. I recommend getting the PCM callibrated once you've got the intake on to get the computer running properly.
Beyond that any good mods always involve a c,omma.
Welcome Aboard!

You ask for suggestions on low cost mods - appearance or performance?
Appearance
1. Letters for the rear bumper and front plate cover
2. Tinted windows (local laws permitting)
3. Upgraded floor mats
4. door sill protection
5. A good supply of the wax/protection of you choice
6. Aftermarket shifter ****
Performance
1. Aftermarket shifter ( B & M, Hurst, Kirban)
2. Aftermarket intake
3. Ceramic Brake pads
4. Dump the RunCraps
There are more, but this is all I could think of off the top of my head.....

Welcome to the forum. You will learn everything you want and need to know, plus so much more here (like, oh my god I need that mod, and that one, etc). I got my 03 C5 coupe MN6 about 9mos ago and have decided on the following mods: Air Intake, probably Blackwing or Halltech Trap. Cool air Z06 grills, Plugs and plug wires. GHL Bullet cat back exhaust. Polished throttle body. LS1 edit. I am lovin every minute of this car, except keeping black detailed. While you can never have too much power, I think you'll, realistically, find that this car is superfast for street driving. However, it does seem to need improved air intake for better responsiveness and exhaust sound, stock is a Cadillac After that, for me, it's either a C-6, (dreamin) heads, cam, headers, or SUPERCHARGING... oh yeah! Enjoy the ride, both the cars and mod madness.

First mod - exhaust, make it sound like a sports car, and improve the looks on the rear end!
