I couldn't pass up the rather large discount and picked up an '04 MY Z06 with black interior today! This is my first brand new car and let me tell you, it feels AWESOME! This is such an incredible experience to own a brand spankin new Z06. Words can't describe how I feel right now. So, I'll be changing my forum name back to Nat04Z06...it was Nat02Z06 last year. I'll post pictures later today or tomorrow. I'm not going to compare the Z06 to the Viper mainly because I made quite a few good friends over at the Viper forum and I wouldn't want anyone there to have ill feelings toward me. But I will say this, I like this Z06 A LOT better!

By the way, isn't there a rumor that the yellow Z06's are the fastest? :D :thumbs:

From my experience, i am convinced the EBs are faster than torch red ones :0 Cant tell you about MY. Oh darn, you'll just be forced to test it out for yourself!

I am glad you didnt compair a 95 rt10 vs a 04 zo6. Now if you want to compair a 04 srt vs 04 zo6 that is fair... I agree I had a 94 rt/10.I also have been in a few zo6's and had enough time on the track to know the 04 zo6 will win in every category.. I have a 96gts now and it is alot better than the gen1 but in terms of a everyday driver the 04 zo6 would get the edge. Your money was well spent for a 04 with the discounts they are giving. If you can afford and or know anyone that has a 04 viper give it a try you will be impressed. take a look at the specs by all the mags.
Me and a bunch of my corvette friends will be going to road atlanta for some fun may 8+9 to let the cars do what they are ment to do.. I know it is far but if you get the urge to go very fast in a controled area then bring it to the track, the z06 will not let you down..

Ryan, I'm sure the GTS is a better car than the Gen 1. I should've waited and bought one instead of the '95. The SRT-10 is an increbile machine with gobs and gobs of power. But it is also a bit out of my price range.
