HUD Are they getting Dimmer over time
Is any ones HUD seem like it’s not as bright as it was when you first drove it home. I was never able to flip the brightness full up on mine cause it was way to bright now it seems I can and not so bright. :steering:

I believe the hud adjusts brightness based on the ambient light in the car. There is a sensor on the dash I think.
I could be completely wrong about this but I thought I read it somewhere.

Also, if you wear polarizes sunglasses, the HUD looks very dim.

Mine looked a bit dim, untill I figuerd out the car wash got armorol on it. :eek: for useing the car wash,too old and lazy to clean myself, driveing is still fun!!! Ric

The HUD adjusts to the natural light.
Should be fine. Clean projector lens cover on top of dash. WATER ONLY.

I could not tell a difference between my old 00 coupe and my new 04Z, so my gut response would have to be: No, they don't get dimmer over time. :cheers:

I haven't noticed it getting dimmer on any of the Vettes I've had. Hopefully this won't become an issue in the future.
