[Z06] Ready For This Crap, I am So PI&*ED

Re: Ready For This Crap, I am So PI&*ED (Stingray1967)
Unfortunately, you're yesterday's news after you've been sold a car; it's like
pulling teeth trying to get money out of them. I'm trying to get money back
on an unused extended warranty for my '02 Coupe. It's been three weeks
already and still nothing. It didn't take me three weeks to pay THEM! :mad

That's insane. Another alternative would be to just put the car on jack stands in your garage and bring them the wheels and tires. They can do what they need with them and then return the set back to you when they are complete. I wouldn't leave my car at the dealer for an extended stay either
Nosir!
Made that mistake ONCE! Never again!

I heard it from a member a while ago, But your right very strange, What's even more strange is that the bluge is on both RF and RR tires. The tires are clean, never been hit, Not a mark..The left side seems to be OK so far.. I just have to make all my 1G turns to the right from now on.

Man that sucks. I would put it up in my own garage and take in the tires.

Lee,
Unless you want to buy the tires out of your own pocket, try this.
1) Tell the dealer that you are going to remove the defective tire-wheel assemblies and deliver them to his dealership.
2) Put your Z06 on jack stands and remove the defective assemblies yourself.
3) Drive them to your Corvette dealer and have them remove the tires from the rims. Take the rims home with you.
4) Apply one coat of Zaino each day the Z06 is up on jack stands. You can work off some of your frustration that way.
5) When the dealer gets the new tires from GM, take your rims over to the dealership for mounting of the new tires.
6) Take the new tire-wheel assemblies home and install them on your shiny Z06.
Enjoy your shiny Z06 ride. :mad :mad :banghead: :hurray: :seeya

This is simpy a way to wear you down. Because they have chosen to do this I would take digital pics of the car, let them play their reindeer games, then hit them up for compensation on every little mark they put on the car. Jus pound them so the dealer is just plane embarassed by the complaints.

We have a WINNER!! Thats what I would do. Ric
I think these guys are right. On other tires, we have dealt with Discount tires a lot, personal and business. I am always amazed at how customer friendly they are. We have never had an issue with them replacing defective tires. On the other hand, we have some GY tires on one of our trailers and have had tons of problems with them. GY has never replaced a single one under warranty. All we get are lame excuses. The tires simply balloon on the sidewalls and explode. We have been diligent as to tire pressure, speed and weight. The tires are the problem, not us. Besides, we don't have this problem with other tires on other trailers.
Simply put, you shouldn't have to put your car on jack stands, remove the tires and carry them in, nor should you have to leave it with the dealership. Good customer service would be for them to simply replace them if there is no apparent abuse.
Mikeo is an attorney I think. His advice about small claims court is good also. It's cheap and usually works, even though I think all you usually get, at least here, is a judgement. Actually collecting is the difficult part.
Good luck!!

With the power of this Forum we could refer to this post and start emailing support for you. The dealer does not want bad publicity and neither does GM. Sales are slow and with the upcoming C6 GM would want to fix this now. What do guys think?

Lee, I suggest there is a problem with the dealer no matter what they tell you. I suggest going to another dealer and let the second dealer know you will consider them the next time you purchase a Corvette. This whole thing does not make sense.
Good luck.

Re: Ready For This Crap, I am So PI&*ED (Painrace)
The Dealer seems to be in Agreement.
It's the GM Rep. Apparently they have procedures, which can't be altered.
I told the GM Rep he had only one option, Get two tires to the Dealer, Let the Dealer get them on the car. Then the Dealer will get the defective tires back to GM, and if you need a credit card number fine. I also told the GM Rep that the wheels would be photographed before the Dealer takes them off the Car and that if there is so much as nick or scratch on those Rims after the Dealer replaces the tires you and the Dealer are gonna replace those to.
Right now I'm waiting to here back from the Dealer. Should be today or tomorrow. I let You Guys Know.
Thanks again for help it's much appreciated
Can the Dealers Spin Balance these wheels or is there anything special that needs to be done ????
