New Z06 owner - just saying hello!
I just traded in my beautiful '02 Coupe (black/black) for an '04 silver/black
Z06! I'm so excited about the Z. I wish I could have kept the Coupe, but I
simply cannot afford two Vettes. It was a tough decision, but I got almost 36K
glorious miles out of the Coupe. I wanted more performance/handling
without having to make modifications, so the Z was the right choice for me. I
know the driving days ahead will only be better!

Re: New Z06 owner - just saying hello. Hey me too!
Congratulations and guess what? I just this morning put a deposit down on a brandy new 04 black/black Z06 here on Long Island. I can'r believe the prices on these, I paid MORE for my coupe two years ago! I was going to trade in my 02 Pewter Coupe in absolutely perfect showroom condition with just 7K on it when some A****** in a BMW decided to back into it and crushed the right front in to the tune of $6000.00 just yesterday morning. So I'm laying out the dough till I can sell the coupe privately. Luckily there was no structural damage, just fender and front end fiberglass.
Anyway I am WAY excited about the Z and can't wait to ring it out (in 500 miles) :) See you at Captree next week Long Islanders!
Good luck with yours as well!

I can understand the desire for owning a Z06; felt the same but could not give up the roadster so we have both. When the weather is good, I alternate between them... it is always a pleasure to drive either one; they are such different cars. So far both cars are mostly trouble free so the maintenance is not a burden.

Congrats on the new Z. I made the same jump from a black/black coupe to a yellow/black Z06 and have loved every minute of the Z.

Great News. Welcome. Man, these are great cars. I just hit 1,000 on mine and gave her the first oil change. She will stay stock until the Warranty is up. Well, except for the K&N filter I ordered and the cosmetic touches.

  Congrats! It's the best all-around sports car I've ever owned. It slices, it dices, but it never rices. Great car.

Thank you everyone! All of the nice comments are making me feel MUCH
better about my decision to part with my Coupe and get the Z. I've been
having serious Coupe withdrawal since I signed on the dotted line. I won't be
able to start warming up to the car until after I get past the 500 mile break in
period. I know the performance and handling are going to make me forget
all about the Coupe; the p/h are why I made the tough decision to get the Z in
the first place. So, I just need to be patient, get the car looking like I want it
to look (lowered, no BSM, etc.), and then get it out on some long, winding
roads so that I can appreciate all that it has to offer. I know it will be unlike
anything I ever experienced with the Coupe. Thanks again... :cry :D
