I ordered a Z that is supposed to have a production week of 11/10/03. The order # is G7XP6G. Does anyone know a way to track this on the net. I did order museum delivery if this matters.

You have to find out what railway it is shipped on. The dealer can only find out that info. Once you find out what railway you can go to their website and track the vehicle. It's a pretty interesting thing to do!!

Your dealer can query your order number at any time. The TPW can shift, depending on circumstances like constraints, etc. but it's generally pretty close. Also, even if it's built on schedule, museum delivery can delay things as well, since they have their own schedule to keep. Good luck.

Harvey, I appreciate the help. My salesperson told me that it had a production week of Nov 10. Like I said in the IM, I would think that if this is true it should at least be in the system. Maybe she is being less than honest with me. I will call her again tomorrow and make sure I have the correct #. Any more info on it would be greatly appreciated. My # is 859-485-2727.

My advice is dont be so concerned with tracking your car during production because it will drive you crazy with anticipation. I know its tempting but there is nothing you can do except wait for it. You have the week of production so just wait till the following week to confirm it was built then maybe you might get an idea when it will be ready for the museum delivery. Good luck :cheers:

If your order isn't in the system yet, it's because your dealer doesn't yet have an allocation for your car. Any dealer can take an order, and they can submit an order request to GM ... but if GM hasn't allocated a car of that type to the dealer, there won't be a confirmed order # and it won't be built. Dealers know roughly what cars they'll get, and when they'll get them. Ask your dealer some pointed questions about a) whether they have or will soon have the allocation, and b) how can they predict a build date when they don't yet have a confirmed order # from GM? Ask the dealer for the 'event code' for the order. The event code is a number describing where the car is in the production process. These order numbers have been listed here a number of time, so I'm sure a search will get you there.

Talked to my saleslady again today and she gave me a slightly different order #. GRXP6G She also said she got some sort of confirmation from the museum but it did not specify any dates, however she holds to her story that it is supposed to be produced the week of 11/10.
