Y2K FRC update (driveline refresh @ ECS)
Figuring that ECS would be a bit slower in the winter I bit the bullet and took her in for a driveline refresh (85k on the clock):
TICK-LS7CK C5 Vette LS7 Clutch kit
ECS-300-00 ECS Clutch Bleeder Kit
GM-2426418 GM Slave Cylinder Kit
GM-1256445 GM Clutch Master Cylinder
GM-1406168 GM Pilot Bearing
Tick Performance Torque tube couplers
GM-1261235GM Oil Pan Gasket LSx Engine - All Wet Sump Motors
ATM-PBB-PB Powerbond SFI C5/C6 Harmonic Balancer 6-Rib
GM-1258567GM Front Main Seal, All LSx
GM-1255784GM Balancer Bolt, All LSx Except LS7/9/A
Oil Change - Amsoil Synthetic
ECS-900-70ECS C5/C6 rear diff fluid service w/LSD additive
- I requested the torque tube rebuild as I have experienced "tail whip" on the track
- I was surprised that they found that the rear main was dry but the front was wet
- Glad the balancer was addressed - I drive it fairly often and have not seen any wobble but at 24y old its ready
Came in at a "tick" over $5k - never fun but I know when I get it back there will be no problems and that all critical issues have been addressed.
They are taking out for a shakediown today and hope to pick it up this afternoon.

Not awful for all the parts and labor. And at least it's at a GREAT shop! Good for another 24 years, right?

ECS has a great reputation, you should be good for awhile with this service!
