C5 Convert, Full Stereo Upgrade, show us your AMP
HI,
I just ordered the kitchen sink of gear to do a full stereo upgrade in my 2004 convert. I just need to order the sub box. Most likely I am going with the subthump becuase they have a stealh box that can be covered by the rear storage cover when space is needed.
I am looking for ideas for placement of my amp. Going with and Audiocontrol amp that measures 12" x 8" x 2".
Who has some good pics of their convert with amps instaled they can share?
Thank you!

No pics but I’m using that little Kicker CX400.1. I have it running to a NVX shallow 10in at 2ohms. It bumps pretty hard in such a small space. Door speakers are JL and I have an Alpine 4ch power block amp going in the glove box.
I need to finish that part up

A 2" thick amp might fit flush on the back trunk wall so no floor space is used up. This is my modular 5 channel system that measures a total of 1.5" thick, the trunk latch cover isn't shown.

Hey gang, This is what I came up with. PVC boards glued to make 1 1/2 thick board. Routered the edges over, routered channels on the under side to run the positive lead to the fuse and then back to the amp, then drilled holes for the wires to come up and out. Should keep everthing clean looking when done. Going to run positive and negative leads on the passenger side and to the battery. All my speaker and signal leads will run on the divers side. New wires going to the rear speakers and the sub wire under the rear carpet to a stealth box in the rear storage area. More pics to come as the build progresses.
