Default C5 led interior

I am ready to change out my interior lighting to LED. Who can recommend a good LED bulb kit that will include all of the interior lights?

Contact Vette Lights. I don't see a complete kit on their site but they have every light you need and they are a forum vendor @VetteLights

Also try Sharp Light Innovations - also a forum vendor. Both come highly recommended.

I have used a mix of both Vettelights and SharpLight for all my bulbs inside and out. Very happy with the results all the way around.

Good luck with the install and please post pics post installation. One small piece of advice is to not over bulb the application with super bright LEDs. I added a set to the door switches and they were too bright and basically distracting when driving at night.

I can agree here! The LED I installed that illuminates the MPH/KPH display on the gauge cluster is so bright it highlights the Check Engine Light icon! At first I thought I actually had a CEL illuminated, but soon realized I didn't otherwise it would have been brilliantly illuminated. One of these days if and when I have the gauge cluster out again I will remedy that.

Default C5 led interior

I’ve got the interior lights changed out to LED. The rearview mirror lights were the most difficult ones, I just removed the mirror, because it was much easier to work on. The problem I am having is with the under hood LED light. When the lights time out and go off. The LED under hood goes from bright to half power. If I put the halogen light back in when the interior LED lights, go off the under hood light does go off, drawing 0 V. When the LED light goes to half power it’s drawing 5 V. I’m assuming this LED under hood light is not, does not have enough resistance?

Default C5 led interior.

New underhood light led is not working properly. It started full bright, but when the lights timed out to go off the interior lights, go off, but the under hood light goes to minimum power and is still partially lit. If I close the hood, it goes off, but when I raise it, it goes back to low power. I put the halogen light back in and the under hood light works as it should. When the halogen light shuts off, I measure 0 V across the terminals. When the LED light goes into very dim mode, I measure 5 V across the terminals. I’m guessing it’s the low resistance of the bulb?

I have some LED installed - note that if you don't do the radio as well it stays dim while everything else glows...

are you referring to the under hood light?
are you saying I need to do the radio lights so the under hood light will operate properly?

The timer circuit and mercury switch in the underhood light don't seem to work well with LEDs

I agree. Since taking voltage measurements with the original light and the LED light, I can see your point. I’m thinking of installing a harness with a switch, then I can shut off the under hood light when it’s not being used. I will let you know how that works out when I do it.

What's the solution if you don't have the festoon bulbs but instead the three color LED thingies? They're not bright and the color sucks. I sure want to change those out
