I grew up in the Midwest & can remember meeting another car on a two lane blacktop road usually always got a wave from the approaching car & I didn't even drive a Vette.
As for today, do not really care.....I know what I got & who I am......JMO.

Cause the C8 isn’t a vette. It’s bad to the bone, but not a vette. They made a mistake stopping the front engine rwd super car. It could of been a’Stingray’ and just imagine what a c8 could of been. Now it is a way for GM to make super car $.

Look I remember you used to drive through Holmes County Ohio and all the Amish would waive.
Today few waive.
I don’t even see the buggy to buggy waive. Then those Amish in the open top carriages they are all look at me in my straw hat and beard attitude!
I did find an Amish guy going down a steep hill on a big tire bike. I matched speeds at 65 mph next to him, He never lost hat.

I will wave! If I don't get a wave back, so be it! It's like golfers. Just because you can play (or buy a car) and play well (or pay for an expensive car), it doesn't mean you have class. Sorry, old school, you wave!

What is funny is when we take out stock vintage cars regular people wave all the time.
Model A, 38 Chev, 39 Ford 41 power wagon command car with gun mounts. etc Though the latter may have been surrendering.

It is an Amish thing you would not understand. But then again you drive a black car?
Though the boys down there are getting a bit innovative. They are working on better wherls. I also hope disc brakes.
Yes that is a jet engine.

I'm not sure what that means exactly but I will say that one thing I don't miss about our Gladiator over the new F150 is freaking constantly waving at other god damn Jeeps.
Jeep Wranglers/Gladiators make up about 1 in every 10 cars on the road here lol.
Couple of things my boy and I made a pact on with the Jeep wave thing is no waving at BONE STOCK Jeeps with literal car tires on them. and FFS no waving at Jeeps with angry face grills on them!

I get waves from old guys in classic cars all the time. There is an old-timer guy who has a blue Bel-Air around my town and we always wave at each other. There's another old-timer with 60's Galaxie convertible I have seen a few times and he and his wife get excited and wave at me too.
Cool cars are cool cars. It's fun when other people recognize no matter what the car is.

Got waives from 5-6-7-8 but not a C2 yesterday. In fact several 7-8’s.
Better yet I left a big concourse event with my custom Fiero.
when I left many videoed, waived and thumbs up at the event and down the street from the event. People sit along the street to watch the cars leave. It is like a parade.
Better yet I hit the hip Gen X part of town got waives from the hipsters and one homeless guy.
Waives are more meaningful when they are not forced. I would rather get a waive from someone not in a Vette. Getting a Vette waive is like a kiss from aunt Martha.

I dont believe not waving is relegated to a certain model. Living in Nashville where everyone seems to be waving at every neighbor, I unfortunately do see a lack of waves from many Corvette owners in general. I think it just comes down to some people are cool and some are not. I have a Jeep and its the same thing
