Z06 chassis brace
I'm looking at buying another Z, had one a decade ago. I seem to recall that the Z had some sort of under chassis brace that I removed when servicing the clutch slave cylinder.
Am I remembering this correctly?
There isn't one on the car I'm looking at now.

Yes, all C5s have a tunnel brace. Hard to miss, it a long flat plate that sits above the exhaust pipes, held in by about 40 small bolts. If you can see the torque tube and 40 empty bolt holes, you're right, it's missing haha

heggsc5 is right and please note that some companies made a thicker tunnel plate that added to the stiffness of the car. I believe Elite Engineering was one such company.
