Gatorback AC belt, 98vert
Does Goodyear still make the "Gatorback" serpintine belt ?
I have been trying to track down an AC Goodyear Gatorback belt for my 98vert. The part number is 4040420. I can see other Goodyear belts but not gatorback.
Thanks

From what I've heard, Goodyear sold the belt business off to Continental - so no more Gatorback belts.

This might be the same belt. I installed one in Feb 2020 to replace my chirping Dayco belt. It is still mostly chirp free 3 years later.

Haven’t seen a Gatorback belt for many years. The Continental brand serpentine belt is a good one as is the OEM AC Delco belt.

Let's keep in mind the OP is asking about belts for a model year 98 AC belt, there were different sized Serpentine belts over the C5 model years.
Below is from one of my old posts a few years back:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For what it's worth there are two different size belts used on the C5 accessory belts. The A/C belt remained the same size thru all C5 model years. Goodyear sold off the Gatorback belts to an outfit called Continental, there website is under CRP. The C5 accessory belts listed under CRP are the following for the model years:
97-98 PK060802 belt length 80.20 inches
99-01 PK060798 belt length 79.53 inches
02-04 PK060802 belt length 80.20 inches
The A/C belts for all years is PK040420 length 41.93 inches

Thanks, it took me awhile but one of my sons friends told me about Continental purchasing Goodyear. The Gator Back belt is alive and well under the Continental name, and so I have ordered both belts.
