Verts Can't Swim
My unmolested 2002 vert with 60,300 miles is now in the possession of Copart. Salt water almost to the roof in the garage. Don't ask about the house

So sorry to hear this news DDaaryl. God bless you as you rebuild brother, thankfully you survived. I know how much you enjoyed your unmolested C5 Vert. I pray you will have a better replacement for all that was lost.

Damn! My friend has a home in FMB.
Well, had. In fact... you might know him - had a yellow T-bird and a taupe Cadillac Fleetwood... two more beautiful cars gone.

So sorry to hear about the damage to both your house (and possessions) and your C5. Best of luck in dealing with the insurance companies and in either the repair or replacement of both the house and car.

Car looked spotless in the garage except for a slight water line. It rolled out and steered before the wrecker came. Nothing worked because the battery was under water. I actually had the steering wheel lock mod, the skip shift parts, a compressor and plug kit in the trunk but I was unable to open it. Insurance said I'd get $26,300 but I have yet to see payment after a month. Still got my Corvette hat. Not sure a nineth Corvette is in my immediate future.

Sorry about your home, possessions and car, Daryl. I remember you made it through Irma fine and had hoped all our Corvette "family" would make it again this time.
Prayers for you and everyone else there still facing repairs, rebuilds, and replacements. Unfortunately, for many of us, a short while after the news quits addressing the destruction there (or Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana or Texas), we tend to forget that many, such as you, are still facing months and months of challenges. The same with areas affected by tornadoes, earthquakes, major fires and other such calamities.
