Nice, but.. different terrains, different toys.
Mine's an 88 cherokee (35's, zz6 350 w/ 420hp, lots of other goodies):

Would rather have a vehicle specifically designed for off road duties, but who knows, that C5 could be a lot of fun.

To each their own. Like others, I would much rather have a Jeep for offroading.

I think some of you are missing the point of this car.
I have a Jeep and a Blazer for off roading. They are used for rock crawling and exploring the back country.
These two "off road" Corvettes are more about bombing around dirt roads and open fields or desert. Think pre-runner type stuff or rally cross or even Gambler 500 kind of events.
I live in northern NV and it is open desert with tons of dirt roads everywhere. I can drive from my house to Vegas which is over 400 miles, all on dirt. I have a '79 C3 that I only paid $4500 for and I think it would be a blast to modify it like this. I'm not sure I'd do a $10K C5 though. Maybe more of a junker C5 but I guess YouTube provides enough revenue to make it worth while.

That would be a blast to own and drive around - no doubt about it.
I hate the "Cecil B. DeInfluencer" youtube overproductions though, it's not the epic movie of all time.....
It does look like they did it right to a point so kudos for that.
I also loved the addition of the Z71 decals - definitely a fun conversation piece, thanks for posting it up.
